A trip to Oakmont

    Last year, Mike Depaolo had the opportunity to travel across the country to Chambers Bay for the U.S. Open.  

    Well, I’m excited to say that Mike and I will be be packing our bags and heading to Oakmont for this year's edition. If you’re planning to be there for the practice rounds on Monday or Tuesday, we can’t think of a better way to spend the day than with some Team Titleist members. 

    So post a reply, let us know if you’re going and we’ll coordinate a meet up. 

    We hope to see you in Steel City!

    Unfortunately I won't be in the Steel City, but hope you and Mike have a great time. Take a bunch of pics to post for those of us that won't be there.

    Yep, I'll be there all of next week as a USGA Volunteer. I'm scheduled for shifts on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. So I'll sure be watching the practice rounds. Send me a PM and I'll return my cell number. I have already hooked up my ID card on my TT lanyard.

    The pairings for the first two rounds are fantastic. Some strong Amateur players made it in. This should be an exciting Open.

    Awesome Allen and great work on the lanyard!! We missed you at the TT Ohio outing last week so we figured you were up to something great!! I bet you are going to have a blast!!

    Have fun Mike D, Abby and all of those lucky enough to take in the tournament! I'm hoping to be able to take in the US Senior Open down the street at Scioto CC later in August..

    You guys have fun and think about the rest of us who do not get to go. Cheers. What a great opportunity and please share some pictures with us. I had my opportunity in 2005 and my wife and I drove up to Pinehurst for the final day.

    Enjoy the trip, the course and I hope you have some comfy shoes....Lot of space to walk on Oakmont. Beautiful course and great area. Get a few close ups of those church pews. Unless you stand right in front of one, it is hard to tell how close and actually how tall they are.
