Happy Fathers Day to all. Enjoy the day and remember those that got you to where you are today and pass on your knowledge to the ones you love.

Great advice. I lost my father when I was only 15. Just before that since I had taken such an interest in golf, my father made arrangements for myself and my 3 younger brothers to play golf at the local golf course, owned by a private school in town. There was a family membership available, but my father didn't think much of golf. He didn't understand why everyone had to be quiet. "You're hitting a ball sitting still on top of a peg," he'd say. "try hitting a ball coming at you at 90mph with 50 thousand people screaming at you at Yankee Stadium." But none the less, he was friendly with the athletic director at that private school, and got his 4 kids in for the price of $35 each. The price for each child AFTER you paid the family membership fee. WOW. We all got paper routes to pay him back. $35 in the 60's and 70's was more than it is today. We played golf all day, near every day all summer for $35. And so an addiction began. I've tried to pass it on to my kids, but it only stuck with one. My oldest said a long time ago, "dad I see it on TV, I know how to play it" . I told him if that's all that was needed, I'd have been on the Tour years ago. Happy Fathers Day to all. May you all remember a moment with your dad about the great game of golf.
