Went to a Titleist Thursday fitting yesterday and all I can say is Wow!!!!

Huge thanks to my fitter Jimmy, Carl's Golfland, and of course Titleist for putting this on! For an equipment geek this is about as close to heaven you can get!

Seriously what's not to love - a $40k Trackman, buckets of Prov's, hitting outside on actual grass, and just about every shaft and head Titleist makes?!?!?!?

I used my time to more dial-in distances. I thought I had too big of a gap at the top of the bag. Which turned out to not be true and there was something goofy between my PW and 9i. I was hitting the about the same distance! Sure enough Trackman confirmed it and The guy from Carl's went inside and out checked the lofts and the 9i was way off!

I did however hit a 915 w/ a Rogue shaft and was hitting it farther than my current driver by about 10yds. Best drive with my lousy swing speed was 260, with an 8.5* head, 17* launch, and about 1,800 rpm's and a 1.5 smash factor - just about perfect!

If anyone is on the fence just go do it! It's free and a ton of fun!

    Thanks Titleist for doing this!!!

  2. I went to a Titleist Thursday, but the fitter never followed up on his word with sending me my stats.. So I ordered Titleist clubs from another fitter. That was 6 weeks ago, and I have have not received my new clubs yet! So good luck trying a receive new clubs from Titleist.

    David -
Well done. Which Rogue shaft: the Silver or Black? I agree; attend a Titleist Thursdays event. I had a great experience. Thanks Titleist and Haggin Oaks GC.
My fitter, Aaron, saw me repeatedly hook my much too light driver. Smash factor was 1.43 (yuck!). He handed me a 915 w/ an 8.5* head as well (Diamana D+ White shaft). Smash Factor went up to 1.50 with one swing! And all this time, I thought it was just me. I eventually settled on a Rogue Black shaft (see photo) and traded in my driver! Looking forward to the fairway, not the left rough!

Update - Sorry; need to correctly credit Brian, who fitted me for the driver two weeks ago. Aaron fit me to AP1 irons last week.

None the less, great sessions with Brian and Aaron! I learned as much about my swing as I did about what equipment fits me. Thanks again.
