In a very unfortunate event, my 3 wood got dented. I'm wondering if it will affect playability or just cosmetics? What do you guys think?

Mainly cosmetic but if you keep hitting it on that spot i guarantee it will impact the playability. I had a driver a few years back that had a dent in the back from dropping it on the cart path. Didn't affect the play but i hated seeing it everytime i teed off so i eventually traded it in. Oh well, at least you get to play. Have fun out there.

I haven't even played with yet this year.
Just happened to be moving stuff around, I hate that it happened, once I'm clear I'm taking it out and test it, I might end up picking up a new one, just for the looks.

Yuck! Not even while playing... That's like banging something into your car while it's just parked in the garage. Is it a TS or one of the older models? If not a TS, good excuse for the upgrade. If a TS, might be worth the cost of a repair. Better days ahead.

It is a TS2 Dale, I called the shop as Chuck had suggested, they will not be open for a couple of weeks, so once I get the all-clear from the doctor I am taking the 3 wood to the range and testing it, I cannot see any cracks, just the dent.
It was like coming out of the store and finding a big dent on my car door, it sucked and I hate looking at it, but it is life and it happens.

That is pretty bad. I would take it by a repair shop and ask a professional. Me, I would not use it....just saying.....that is a significant boo boo..... =(

My model three wood is it....have you looked on eBay or at some of the online retailers for a used one and put your shaft in the replacement......

I am looking at that possibility too, just getting the head to replace it and keeping the shaft Chuck. At this point, I have accepted the screw-up and I am just looking into what to do next to replace it.

I am checking with the closest authorized dealer right down the street from me, I don't think they will be open for a couple of weeks.

Find a buddy that broke his shaft and make him an offer for his head......unfortunately cannot purchase just a new head from the manufacturer......

Darn man, thats tough. I dont know if it actually does has any impact on the playability or not, but I personally would think it did every time i pulled it out of the bag. That is not a very cheap replacement though..

I might keep it for the season just as a reminder to be careful with my clubs.
The good news is that I see no cracks nor hear any rattling coming from inside the head.

That is unfortunate and in the worst possible spot. No way to play without looking at it and reminding you. I would be interested in helping you out. I can't figure out how to send you a personal message. If you can send me one I have a TS2 15* that I can't use and would be willing to donate to you. It is a shame to have it sitting in the closet when someone has a need for one. Doesn't launch high enough for me off the ground and went to a 16.5.

Thank you, that would be awesome Paul, I tried adding you as a friend so we could exchange messages, it does not give me that option with your profile, I don't know why.
I have friended all of the Paul Cs that appear on the search, and have made my profile public, so we can connect.

I had a smaller dent than that on my TS2 and sent it to a place in Raleigh (forget the name, but they did great work). Looks brand new now. I believe the TS2 line has very thin crowns that are easily dented…

I feel like that it would be very easy to take the dent out, if it was accessible, like opposite from the weigh bolt opening, I cant see how to reach it on where it is.
I am still very salty with my self about it.
Michigan's stay at home order has been extended until the 28th, so my local pro shop won't open until after, so they can take a look at the club itself.

The friend request, have not shown up at all for me Paul. Maybe it needs to be approved by the TT management team.
I appreciate you going out of your way to try to help.
Also, one of my friends and co-workers have made the head of his dad's 3 wood available to me, since his dad got a higher loft head for the shaft he got. We will get together sometime in the next couple of weeks once he is back in southeast Michigan, they are up north for now, due to the quarantine.
I cannot express how happy and response and willingness to help from the TT community.
Paul, I truly appreciate the help and hope you can find a deserving new home for that fairway head.
Thank you, everyone, for the responses on this tread.
Hit them string and I hope everyone gets to play some golf soon.

Yes Paul, they have, I'm visiting my daughter in Maryland this week, and I will be picking it up after I get back home next weekend.
Again I truly appreciate the offer.
  35. This made me super sad. I've got some small scratches on my 913 3 wood and that eats at me but I've had it for so long so it's not quite the same.

I was standing to close to my driver on the tee box at Pinehurst and slipped and scratched the head of my driver with the spikes on my shoes. Was just carelessness on my part. Tired all kinds of waxes to cover it but just did not work. Never affected the performance of the club. Actually worn the long ball contest with it on the head. No worries in the case.
