Thousands of Team Titleist members have tested the all-new 2021 Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls reporting noticeable distance gains, better greenside spin and control, and softer feel. It has been hard to keep quiet, but the time has come to unveil how we have increased performance through every single layer of the golf ball:

    • Reformulated 2.0 ZG Process Cores - delivers increased distance in the solid core Pro V1 and dual core Pro V1x.
    • Faster High-Flex Casing Layer - adds speed and lowers long game spin. This highly-resilient, high-speed ionomer was initially developed for and validated by Pro V1x Left Dash.
    • New, Softer Cast Urethane Elastomer Cover – the softest cover formulation ever used on a Pro V1 or Pro V1x – increases greenside spin for more control in the short game.
    • New Spherically-tiled Tetrahedral Dimple Designs – featuring a 388 dimple layout for Pro V1, and 348 for Pro V1x – are optimized to each model to maximize distance and flight consistency. Pro V1 maintains its penetrating trajectory while Pro V1x will fly higher than the prior generation.

The new 2021 Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls hit golf shops Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021, and will be available in White and High Optic Yellow. Enjoy!

    Hi Allan,

Thanks for providing the detailed explanation. I eagerly await the chance to put the new balls to the test but I expect that it will take a bit longer to reach us here Down Under.
Lately I have been using the ProV1x Left Dash which I was able to get in a small quantity. It is the best ball I’ve played to date.
It was pleasing to hear that some of the refinements to the new balls came from the Left Dash. In your opinion which of the new balls has the most in common with the Left Dash? Also, do you know if there will be a new Left Dash in the pipeline?

    Regards,
    Mark

  6. Thank you for opportunity to test new 2021 Pro V1 golf ball. I recently moved and not able to play due to move and weather. I went to local golf Pro Shop tp use simulator and try new Pro V1, Currently, I hit mostly Titleist Velocity, Results - Driver - 88 mph club speed / Distance - 214-236 yards 125 mph ball speed 3 Wood 84 mph club speed / Distance - 186-201 yards 119 mph ball speed 6 iron 77 / 151-161 107 8 iron 77 / 129-136 94 I am currently a 18 handicap player - Apple Valley - Lake Lure, NC 121/66.8 5484 yards 15 - Rumbling Bald - Lake Lure ,NC 116/66.1 / 5081 yards

Liked the new Pro V1 as it added distance 10-15 yards on Driver and 3 Wood. The ball seems a little softer and noticed my normal tee ball, a high fade, was not as severe. I am not sure if the ball had something to do with it or not. Iron shots about the same as with the Velocity ball. I want to try ball on the course as soon as weather permits.

Thank you again for the opportunity to test the new Pro V1 and will send more resurts if you desire.

    Cheers, John Jennings

Allan - Echoing other comments TT is the best. Is there a link to upload comments to the test balls?

Hi Fred. Appreciate the kind words. The following thread was the official review thread but turned into a "thank you/got mine" thread. I am currently working with our developers to try and extract all the reviews from this thread into a new official review thread: www.titleist.com/.../2021-pro-v1-and-pro-v1x-white-box-testing-official-thread

Hope this comes to fruition by today but I'd say early next week at the latest. Apologies for the delay

Thanks for the "White Box" of ProV1's. On my 4th round with them and like I say every time, how can they just keep getting better. Combined with the TSi3 the ball flight is consistently the same. They seem a bit softer off the putter but the best part is when sitting wedges from 100yds and in. The feel and reaction of the ball is everything I could ask for. Great spin and control making it easy to hit at the flag. Again... Well Done Titleist! BTW... Still on the 1st ball out of the box!

Great information Allan, I tested the new Pro V1 and seen some of those changes throughout my rounds. I'll be ordering some to become my standard playing ball going forward.

Thanks TT for the opportunity to test the new models

These are tough times for Chicagoans. New ProV's available but snow on the ground. Oh, the agony.

I got my hands on the new Pro V1 and Pro V1x yesterday and played 18. I started off with the Pro V1 because that’s what I’ve been playing for the last 5 years. Immediately I could tell the difference. I’m not exaggerating when I say the ball was going farther. I could feel every shot launching off the face faster. Even pitch shots around the green effortlessly came off the face of the club. I hit a few shots with the Pro V1x but ultimately played my whole round with the Pro V1. I had a great round going and my superstition got the best of me and I couldn’t take the ball out of play. I will game the Pro V1x during my next round to get a good idea for that ball. I also plan to go hit some balls on Trackman to look at some numbers and compare them to previous Pro V1s. I think it’s safe to say though that the Pro V1 will be staying in the bag. As always, tremendous job in producing the best golf ball, Titleist!

Allan, I'm about 20 miles north of Boston, and frankly a little envious of TT brethren in warmer climates that have had a chance to test the new versions of our favorite golf ball.I have my white box on top of my dresser. It's a daily reminder that spring will arrive....sooner or later. As I sit here and wallow in self pity, tomorrows forecast is in the 20's.

Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase the Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 Black Out Grip for my Titleist TS2 driver and fairway woods? It's all black and no white on the grip. It might be the Tour Velvet 360 Gray grip. Not sure which one it's called all Black or all Gray. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am currently using 2019 version of the Pro V1x as with the current lockdowns we have had in the UK. I can’t wait to see what improvements have been made in the new 2021 Pro V1x’s when we can finally play golf again

Thanks for the info, Allan! Can't wait to hit the new Pro V1x. Been playing them for years and hoping for the better spin to help around the greens. TT is the best and hopefully next round I'll get a box to test. Keep rockin' Titleist!

FYI....winter in E Washington is way too long for a guy that lived in FL for a decade. Warm weather can't come soon enough.
