Unfortunately it’s creeping into that time of year here in the Midwest where winter is coming and the indoor leagues are starting up. Been looking to get signed up, but wanted to get all your feedback on whether they are “worth it” from a competition standpoint, or to just enjoy off season swings with a little extra incentive to go along. Or maybe you’re an absolute hater, either way, love to hear the feedback.

I'm a 'ball flight' guy. There are a few outdoor ranges, some have heaters overhead. I go to use these over the winter so that I don't practice bad habits in simulators only to find problems when I do go outside.

I'm not saying I don't use simulators, but they aren't my primary winter practice zone. I do think the social aspect of being with like-minded friends is valuable, though.

I continue to play rounds outside until it snows or I head to FL for Jan & Feb. There are also several ranges close to me that are heated, which help on the days I just want to practice. I've found that my swing gets out of whack when using indoor simulators.
