    Hello everyone,

I’ve never been a big hybrid guy but I’ve recently got a Garmin R10 and I’m about 5 years less carry distance, I currently have a 5 wood which is about 215 carry but my 4 iron AP2 is 190 carry. Really tempted to get either a hybrid or a 7 wood, do you think I would see much difference between the TSI or TSR? Just seeing if it’s worth the additional money?

The 7 wood is becoming a popular addition to many bags. Do you have either the TSi or TSR to demo? I have the TSR 4 hybrid and it works well for me. If you haven't done a fitting, I would try the TSR; it might be difficult to get fit for the TSi since it's no longer offered.
  3. I have noticed a considerable difference between the two in favor of the R. Definitely make the move IMHO.

    Cheers, Chris

The TSi will be a used club or certainly a rack model. The advantage of a new TSR club will be it can be dialed in to your specific gap need. And go through the options of a hybrid, fairway, or even a driving iron. Including checking your distance gap from 6 to 5 to 4 iron for descent angle. Not knowing how well you hit your 5 iron, you might only need a replacement for your 4 iron. Be it a T150 or T200 or driving iron.
If the 200-210 distance is a key distance and you need to improve how you hold a green at that distance, it will be a good investment to get the best option for your game.

Empirically, I find the TSR to be a big enough improvement over the TSi to start there. If not getting fit, then the price differential for the TSi comes into play.

I just got a 4 and 5 hybrid in the TSi and love them. For me it was about saving some money while still upgrading from my 910h.
  6. I ditched my hybrid for a TSR 7 wood and I couldn’t be happier. Consistently hit it 200, flies high and lands soft. I have a 4 iron I can hit about the same distance, and will put it in the bag if it’s really windy, but I hit the 7 wood better.

What about a 3 wood and taking some loft off the 5 wood?
