    Hi,

I just finished re-gripping with Titleist full cord grips (getting anxious for courses here in western Mass. to open up..!!), and they seem to be getting harder and harder to obtain. Just wondering what others have found to be a good alternative to full cord for those of us that like that feel (usually us non glove wearers). There seem to be quite a few alternatives from the various grip makers, but none of them are clearly all full cord.

        Thanks....!!

I'm a big fan of the Lamkin Crossline Cord. Played it for years.

The Golf Pride Multi-compound Decade grips are really good as well.  Those are the half black, half random color.  They are half cord half simulated cord and respond very nicely.

Multi-compound is not a good alternative to full cord grips. Multi-compound is made of soft cord which wears down in about a month, and then you have poor rubber grips and now buying gloves so you can hold on to the club. Plus many of the cord strips barely come thru the rubber.

Golf Pride used to make really good cord grips, and used to be the only grip I would buy.

The problem with good cord grips is they last so long, years. So they needed to make cords not last as long, thus soft cord.

Golf Pride makes the Titleist Full Cord Grip.  You can buy the Golf Pride version almost anywhere (it's the same grip, just doesn't say Titleist).  Lamkin Crossline Cord is also another great full cord grip in my opinion. Hope that helps.

    Hey Bill

I don't consider them hard to find, I find them a bit too pricey.

But at Golfsmith last year I found Avon full cord for $1.50

I just looked and I guess they are all gone. I got 50. These are the old time full cord, not this new fangled soft cord made for glove wearers.

I just switched from a full cord grip, but I never had problems finding them.  Golf Pride has a real good model and it is pretty inexpensive.  I am using the Golf Pride VDR grips and I think they compare well to the full cord.  Good surface texture much like with a traditional cord grip.  Good luck, I hope you find them and stock up.
