Kings North is an interesting layout. Lots of sand, but some holes are gimmicky. I'm probably in the minority here, but my game and Arnold Palmer designs don't seem to mix.

Prestwick is nice, but can get pretty crowded. Generally I find the earlier in the week the less crowded, Thursdays and Fridays are really busy.

You've already tagged my "must play" in that area, Caldeonia. I hope it is in the same great condition as I last experienced it!

Can you get onto Pawley's Plantation? Tradition should be good too at this time of year.

Kings North is fun, World Tour was a little gimicky for my liking.

Was out there a month ago and played Palmetto, Barefoot Love, Dunes Golf and Beach Club, Glen Dornoch but rained out for True Blue. Glen Dornoch was fun and in good shape but if you can Dunes Golf and Beach Club is a must play IMO.

World Tour is a must! Calendonia and True Blue are great tracks, Caledonia being my favorite of the two, have played there numerous times when visiting myrtle beach.

Highly recommend Wild Wing-Avocet, World Tour, and Kings North. I also suggest that you contact the courses to check on their aerification and top dressing schedules. The beaches and restaurants will be crowded but golf courses will not be crowded. Myrtle Beach is a great place for golf and vacations. Have fun.

Welcome to the number one golf destination in the US. Yes aeration is necessary for the greens to make it thru June, July and August. The heat, humidity and traffic make it hard on the greens during that time. They normally do it a couple of times a year. They will sand them and they will be playable, but most likely not in pristine condition. Most of the greens are tifeagle Bermuda. Along the coast they have to heat, salt water and hurricane tolerant. You should be happy with any of those choices. I live down the road from Murrells Inlet and Myrtle and do not go there very often to play. Just too crowded for me. If I go, it is in the off season. Courses in better shape. Grand Dunes just reopened in September after renovation of its greens and bunkers. All new greens. World Tour might be fun in that each hole represents a different hole from all over the world. Caledonia and True Blue are an excellent choice. Pine Lakes is the Granddaddy and deserves a visit anytime you are in Myrtle Beach. Two of my favorites are the Surf Club and The Dunes Club.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate all the advice… We were able to lock down wild wing, grande dunes, Caledonia, tru blue, traditions and prestwick. All are not to aerification yet. I have been told that it should not be super busy at this time since everyone is going to the beach. Now, I need to find a reasonable condo, even the golf trip folks are having trouble finding a reasonably priced place.

June, July, August are premium months in Myrtle Beach. Families flock to the beach for the summer. No surprise cannot find a condo. Try Little River.

Wild Wing (Avocet) is a good Jeff Brauer design. Definitely a Top 5 Myrtle Beach course for me.

Wild Wing was once a booming 72-hole facility, so pulling in to the massive parking lot and seeing three empty bag drop areas (plus 75% of the huge clubhouse unused) is like visiting a ghost town.
