Just curious to see what is required to participate in these events? Do we have to only use Titleist Equipment to get in since it's a TT event or can we play with whatever? Just seeing what is said from those that have been to one of these events and played.

Hardest part is just getting your reservation in to the event before they sell out. Once in, there is no real requirement for 100% Titleist equipment, meaning you will not be sent home if you show up with something else. That said, the bigger the event, the more likely that the majority of participants will be full bag Titleist and wearing FootJoy. You can experience some needling from the group if you have a very obvious set up from another manufacturer. Making sure you have a Titleist or neutral brand (not competitive golf club OEM) bag will help. Same for hats. Wearing a hat with a team logo or something like that will not be noticed but a hat with a logo from one of the other golf club manufacturers will likely get attention. If you have another brand driver or fairway, just use different head covers. Things like that would be preferred. We like to take pictures and sometimes these are posted for marketing purposes. It would not look good if those pictures contained a competitors logo. Hope this helps and hope to see you at future events.

Helps a lot. Thank you for the comment. I have a Scotty Putter and play Pro V1's, but the rest of my bag is png and TM. I don't care about getting heckled, I would just like to get into one of these events because they look like a good time and a fun way to meet new people.

Dakota, am a long time poster and my bag normally is 100% Titleist. Showed up last year with a png putter under a generic headcover. Got a good ribbing from all my buds. Was experimenting. No worries. We East Tennesseans can handle it. Living in South Carolina but my roots are still in Tennessee. Have been trying to send Steve back up there but he just will not leave. ha..ha..ha.. Go Vols. Hope to see you at one of the events.

Dale, when is the big invitational usually announced?

Usually in the spring. It might have been March or April this year, I can't remember. Be on the watch for the occasional special outing that might pop up anytime of the year. A few years ago we had a Vokey Wedge Experience at Pinehurst added to the events. Bob was there and personally helped fit us for new wedges. Same for the Folds of Honor event the last two years at American Dunes. These have less spots available than the big, annual Team Titleist Invitational but are great to attend.
  7. Great info Dale. What is the Golf format? Is a group of four required or can 1, 2 or 3 players sign up?
  8. I would recommend participating in this forum on a regular basis, use Titleist golf items and participate in regional events if possible.

    IMHO, Cheers Chris
  9. Having played in one this year, I can attest to how awesome they are. Was part of the American Dunes Tribute event and it could not have been any better.
