Hi everyone newbie here, just wanted to share my pre round routine experience from this weekends round at my local course in surrey. I've just recently brought some resistance bands and spent 15 mins in the garden doing plenty of golf stretches before hitting the range before 18 holes. I was on the range for 30mins hitting 5 balls per club going through my bag hitting my wedges then going into my 9.7 ,5 irons moving into 3 wood then driver with 40mins on split between putting and chipping. I've done this twice now and have noticed a big difference in my ball striking and being in more control of my swing since using the bands.

Are any of you using resistance bands and have noticed a difference ?

I don't use resistance bands pre-round, however I do advocate and carry out a number of warm-ups and stretches in order to 'activate' myself.
The idea of a proper warm up really came home to roost when I analysed my 1st and 2nd hole statistics (in particular), and the direct correlation between poor scores and not having warmed up.
On those occasions that I didn't warm up there was a noticeable difference in ball striking (and scoring) from the opening holes and those later on.

Wait !....you're doing a good warm up pre round and you're noticing a difference in your ball striking ?

    Who'd have thought eh.
  5. I wish I had time to warm-up ‍♂️ I struggle to get a round in the time I've got.
  6. I use resistance bands to warm up, I never used to hut had a shoulder injury and using the bands was part of the physio so decided to use it for a nice warm up
  7. Stayed up late drinking, got up 15 minutes before tee time, raced to the club. Even had to tie my shoe laces up after hitting my tee shot on the first. Shot 90.
Had an early night, a leisurely breakfast, hit some balls on the range, strolled to the first tee. Still hit it out of bounds.
Moral of the tale…..take up fishing instead!
