  1. Hey everyone,

A good friend of mine wants to try golf but has zero experience. I know golf can feel a bit intimidating at first, especially for women who might not see as many beginner-friendly options.

Does anyone know of great beginner tips, women-focused lessons, or online resources that make starting out easier and more fun? Also, any ideas on where she could connect with other women new to golf?

    Would really appreciate your thoughts!

Many local courses offer programs for juniors and women to get involved. At least in WI these programs generally start in June, so pretty close to the end. These tend to be group sessions, and it isn’t uncommon that the session ends with “it’s wine-o-clock somewhere”. Easier to stay engaged with others like you. My local municipal courses have these programs - not just at private clubs.
  3. Find your local golf association, they will have resources for beginners. Look for beginner clinics, sometimes high school or college extension programs have beginner group lessons. You do realize you are introducing your friend to chasing the one perfect round for the rest of eternity. Good luck and hope you find some good lessons.

Find a local pro that offers women's clinics and lessons. Sometimes it's best to get a couple individual lessons to start with the basics like grip, set up and basic swing fundamentals. Check out the courses in the area and see what's available.
