Maybe they'll figure out the strap issue if they get flack from the caddies on Tour...

I have mixed emotions about this. At first, I was all for it. But when I saw the carry bags at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, I lost my excitement. I guess I'm an old school traditionalist. Staff bags to me mean you are a professional staff member of Titleist and they are paying for your equipment. A Titleist staff bag is earned. Not purchased. In my humble opinion. I even feel self-conscious with my name on my T.T. bag. Even though it was given to me by Titleist. A Staff bag should be for PROFESSIONALS ONLY. That's my opinion. And professionals should always use a professional STAFF bag. The carry bags I've always equated with amateurs like myself and should not be used by those who are golf pros. An official staff bag separates those who make a living at the great game of golf and those who don't. The staff bag is the gold standard. The holy grail for those who call themselves PROFESSIONAL golfers.
  3. I caddied for a friend in the Phoenix Open Pro Am. Glad he doesn't have a Staff Bag.

Having both staff tour (for trolley) and staff carry bags, surprised more on tour don't just the carry bag as lugging the tour bag from car to trolley nevermind 18holes is ninja! The tour bag is great for long courses or for carrying kitchen sink for all weather's though!
  5. I thought it looked great them using a stand bag makes it look more comfortable for the caddies
  6. I'm all in favour of this...
Think it must be ergonomically better for a caddie to use a two-shoulder-strap than a single strap. It must save them physically in the long run. With lighter weight materials, there might be scope for re-defining overall size and pocket configurations.
Let's face it, there are some events where waterproofs are just not necessary!!
Stand bags have as much advertising capacity as a staff bag - especially when on the stand.

    StaDry Staff Stand Bag anybody????

I think it is a great idea by the marketing staff, why not put the product most of the users watching on tv will use.

I like it, I think players/caddies should always have that choice. Plus as many others have said, it gives an opportunity to showcase gear the average player will be interested in buying, which IMO is more important than bigger bag real estate for massive logos.
