I was taught a young age that Titleist was the best. As I got older I was able to spend a little more on Titleist gear and that turned into my whole bag and balls now Titleist. Still saving for a Scotty!

Trust. Plain and simple. I trust Titleist to be the best ball in golf.

Only ball I have ever played. Starting in 1967
  5. I was a Bridgestone / miz fan for years. Japanese manufacturers make very nice looking, and great feeing golf clubs and balls. I always put Titleist in a category above due to cost.

Flash forward 15 years, and I re-found my love of the game shortly after my dad passed. I went to a golf shop and say the 718cb irons, liked the look and tried them out. The feel and sound were better than my mp32s! Same with the rest of the set - loved the feel and sound of the titleist clubs so I decided to replace everything with 2nd swing or eBay clubs.

I plan to replace my 716cb irons with the 620mb/cb set later this year.

Ball performance and feel were very similar between ProV1X and the b330s I was playing, however the ProV1X seemed to last longer with more durability and quality. From there it was an easy choice to switch.

I don’t plan on switching putters, as the one I have is very special and custom / home made in honor of my dad.

Quality of the products is the main reason I play Titleist. Every time Titleist releases something, you know the product is top notch. I’ve been playing Titleist since 1996 and have yet to be disappointed.

Thanks for creating this post Mike!

    All the best TT!

  7. I play Titleist because it is the most consistent ball that I’ve ever played. I have played titleist most of my life, but have changed brands a couple of times, but after a few rounds I end up going back to Titleist. The ProV1 is my favorite, but I have never played a Titleist that I did not like.

My reason for playing only titleist gear is the customer service! I had a problem with the shaft connector on my 917f2 when I bought it last year and they couldn’t do enough to sort it quickly! secondly I actually managed to lock myself out of the Team titleist website and titleist uk couldn’t figure it out so put me on to a guy in America to sort it, 10 minutes later it was done! just awesome!

I play Titleist for several reasons. Firstly, the ball is simply the best ball made. The more I have learned about balls the more I understand how good Titleist is. I never doubt the ball.

My journey with Titleist started in a golf outing when I was paired with a Titleist rep. He saw my full Taylor Made bag and said "we must do something about this" in a joking manner. However he paid attention to my game and at the end of the round he simply said, 'I'm not trying to sell you anything but I think you need to see my local fitter because I am convinced some of your shots out there today were caused more by your equipment than by you.' That got my attention. Here's a guy trying to HELP my game. I had always loved Titleist but was not sure I was good enough to play them. Boy was I wrong. I went through a fitting for my driver and 3 wood first. I have a TS2 now and I have never driven the ball better. My dispersion is so much better. We eliminated the 3 wood from my bag and went with 5 wood. The numbers just were not there on the 3 wood to keep it in.

After getting a proper and thoughtful fitting that just sealed the deal for me. I was going to go all in on Titleist becasue they had earned my trust. I just finished a fitting for irons and can't wait to get the T200's. Again, all the numbers were better and the fitting was great. My fitter conveyed to me I did not need to have clubs 2 degrees upright and the fact I had those was causing me to miss left a lot. Not one fitter in fifteen years had ever pointed that out. They also all used lie boards which I have now learned can lie :).

So the ultimate reason I play Titleist...TRUST!
  10. I will just say this, if I don’t have a Titleist hat on I don’t feel complete. If my ball doesn’t say Titleist on it I feel unprepared . The commitment to the products this company produces is by far the best I’ve seen. I will ask that Titleist continue its excellence so people like me can play the game we love with pride.

For me, the clubs are so well balanced that I always have such a clean and smooth movement through the ball, allowing me to focus on my shot shaping without worrying about odd variances from the club. I play a ProV1x regularly because I love the bit of loft I get and the extra spin. Consistency consistency consistency. That's the name of the game.
  12. I feel like when I'm playing titleist the golf clubs speak to me. TM and all the other brands don't say anything.

I play Titleist for many reasons but when I bought my first set I had a friend that worked for Titleist and was able to get a hook up but it goes beyond that. My favorite color is Red and color combination is Red & Black, growing up my bedroom was red, black, white and grey so there is another reason. Every time I see my bag or head covers I feel joy and in return a boost of confidence. I also love how although they always offer the most advanced technology they don't try to flaunt it like many other brands do. They present the product with its specs and you take it as it is instead of the brand trying to tell you "YOU NEED THIS TOO BE BETTER." The cursive-esque logo is a pleasure to look at and never gets old, its very calming to the eyes. The tradition that it has and the fact that all the best pros seem to play Titleist whether it be in the bag or just the ball that speaks volume about the company as well. LASTLY and I didn't find this out till I joined the site but the community is amazing! Not only on here but also out on the course, whenever you see another Titleist player you seem to each give each other a little nod of recognition and respect knowing you are playing the best out there. When I say community it also includes the staff, since being on this site I've been sent items to test & even a 12 pack for blotch of clearcoat on a single ball.

Its the best across the board (now that the TS3 came out lol - 917 not so much even though it had a better shaped headcover)

Looking down and seeing the Titleist "script" gives me a sense of prestige and pride knowing I have the premiere brand in and on my bag.

Titleist, Footjoy, Bob Vokey, Scotty Cameron are all I wanna be using!

    ProV1 #13
  16. I am in the 80's age group and a long, long time Titilist "user", and thanks to you I am scoring my age and less.

  17. When I was younger, Titleist was the aspirational golf brand. On a high school/college budget, I couldn't afford Titleist products. Fast forward 15 years, I am happy to say I can now afford to put Titleist products into my bag and they have not disappointed.

I've always preferred Titleist woods and hybrids because their head size is relatively small compared to other manufacturers. A small head on a driver or fairway wood, tends to be little heavier more often than not,and i like that in a club. Also the head shape on my Titleist driver, fairway and hybrid, suits my eye.

    My titles woods;

    Driver 910-D3;Fairway 910F-13.5;Hybrid 818-H2
  19. Always a fanboy, but besides that, its the overall performance and quality of the products. Its the best in the industry period.
