I've had 3 putters over the last 20 years. The first two were blades. I went with a Fastback 1.5 a few years ago and never looked back. It's simply perfect for me and I don't see myself ever changing.

I started years ago with the Newport, then went to the Red X and for the last 6 years my gamer is the Del Mar. A couple different versions of the Del Mar.

From the days of my ram zebra to the golo, I have tried them all, I love the look and feel of the mallet head. I just seem to be more consistent.
  6. I had been using a Futura X5 for a few years now but want to go back to a blade putter as I believe it suits my slight arc stroke I have. When I can get my hands on a Newport 2 it'll be going straight in the bag.

Just put a Del Mar in play it was hard to put the Newport 2 in the rack.

Newport 2. I have one and I bought one for my son. They’ll be passed down to his children someday. Very special to us.
  9. Haha I have a 5.5 and Newport 2 and I keep bouncing between the two. Can’t settle on one or the other. Nice paint fill by the way.
  10. I prefer the look of a blade but I can align a mallet much better, so went with a Phantom and I’m making more putts.

I've played a golo 7 and now a flowback 5.5 for a while. Its all feel and I like a mallet.

I have always wanted a Newport select 2.5 I am using a oydessy blade now
  13. I have alway prefered blades, however after testing the phantom 5.5 for a while, i am now comfortable with the look and see more putts drop.....but its only a loaner....time to pull the trigger.

  14. I use a Flowback 5.5. I prefer the looks of a blade, but have better results with the 5.5.

I play a Scotty J.A.T. that I bought new. Over the years several guys have said I should set it aside because it will go up in value. I have tried a few other putters off and on, but always go back to the JAT. I see the value in all the putts I have made with in. I shows it’s wear for sure, but so do I.
  16. I currently have a Phantom 9.5, but I picked up a H22 over Christmas. It is a Newport Plus, but not as wide as the Squareback, which I also like. I love the look of the Newport, but I make more putts with the Phantom

I moved from a newport to a phantom x a couple of years back. Best thing I ever did.

Took me a while to get used to though. After a few too many beers one night, I bought a perfect practice putting mat which gave meant I could practice a lot on my stroke. Moved the ball back slightly in my stance in comparison to the Newport and straight away had more control.

    Fantastic putter!

Currently I am using the 1990’s TeI3 (the rounded versions) And am loving it. I have tried three differing grips and went back to its original shape and weight and it balanced out nicely (the new Pistolini Plus).
I have two classic Newport Oil Can putters I need to refurbish (Art of Putting). One already suits the eye.
I do have the availability to switch to a Futura X5.
But the rounded shape of the TeI3 and my other Newport’s just gel.

I’ve never been able to switch between a max toe flow blade and a face balanced mallet. I do need a wider alignment line and a minimal arc. My 2 putters are a 7.5 Phantom (LH) and a Cameron & Crown (RH). The C&C is also minimal arc. I use that one lead hand low. I prefer the 7.5 but if I get loose with it, I’ll switch.

Love the looks of a blade buIt feels great so fart the feel of a mallet. Picked up a Del Mar to game this year. Hoping the mid-mallet is the best of both worlds.
