Steve. Yes, we coordinate with Allan on our local events. He negotiates with the potential course to ensure the block price is quoted with the understanding that it is within any structured relationship that might exist with Titleist. We also work with Allan to find a date that minimizing any conflict with other local or national events so we can try and balance opportunities throughout the year. Once he agrees and we have a date and location, the TT local coordinator (as in me for past San Diego events) takes over to solicit players, set and track pairings, communicate with players, etc. and act as the local co-host. You will see we have blocked a March TBD for our annual San Diego event. Last year we were at Arrowood GC. Allan will be working to firm up the 2023 date and location and hopefully we have that posted in early January. I would be happy to have you shadow me in March as I am moving to Surprise AZ and will eventually be hosting out there and handing off the San Diego duties to someone else.

    Dale,

I enjoyed participating in the TT Patriot Day event at Arrowood in May 2021.

I’m looking forward to the March event. Please let me know if you need any help.

Not yet. Probably will start planning something after the March San Diego outing for a similar golf day in the Northwest part of Phoenix to be held in May. There was talk about Scottsdale earlier in the year that was being organized by the Titleist staff but it did not work out.

This is really neat, I'd like to partake (from Canada) could be my annual trip to myself. Also would be fun to do something like this in Canada as well and take on a role such as yours, Dale.

Thanks, Dale, for all the effort you have taken for the local (?) SD county event. Local being the operative word for the Midwest travelers that sneak in every year.
Lots of good courses there and have made the trip out to play some additional rounds while there. As well as more reasonable greens fees at that time of year in FL and AZ with better weather than AL and the Carolina’s.
Hopefully it will live on after the move to AZ.

Is there any interest in a Northeast (Greater Philly or NJ, PA, DE, MD area) event? I don’t have any affiliation with private clubs, but I am willing to assist with coordinating the event.

A public course will work just as well.

We've had some great events here in Texas as well. Allan and I communicate regularly with the details, course players, etc. Most events have been held in Central Texas and draw guys from as far away as El Paso to Texarkana and beyond. Many lifelong friends have been made along the way. I look forward to getting things set up for a Spring event.

Dale, thanks for all you do and organizing the San Diego event. It was a blueprint for the Orange County event, but we sort of lost our course support with Covid. Ironically, I have family in Surprise, so we will need to make sure we are connected. Happy to help take on some of the "R" for continuing your event. --Scott

Dale would be a good contact in that he is good planner and has a great event in San Diego. He could steer you in the right direction. He has been around and knows the ropes. Planning one takes a lot of dedication and hard work.

Allan, Titleist Staff Member, who coordinates the TT events is the contact at Titleist and is awesome. He and the support staff at Titleist can offer some great ideas. He has a very busy schedule but is very knowledgeable and could be of assistance. With the release of the new balls coming up I understand they will be super busy thru the end of this month.

    Go for it.

What Dale and Wade have done is commit to do an event and work with Allan and the local Titleist rep to secure a location and promote the event. Events won’t happen if no one is willing to take charge to the end.

I did help with an event at TPC Deere Run about 10 years ago. There was interest in a second event with a preference in the Chicago area. But that’s 140 miles from me. Lots of interest but no leader.

The local Titleist rep can help working with a local pro that promotes Titleist products. A shop that only carries balls but full displays of 2 or 3 of the other big 5 OEM’s probably won’t be very willing. Likely true muni sites have to deal with politicians particularly if the event isn’t promoting to local players.

Hopefully we will see more regional events!

Actually, Lisa is coordinating the locations now. You would have met her at the TTI at Streamsong and she reports to Allan. She is the primary events coordinator now.

Hi there! For those of you I haven't met yet, I wanted to formally introduce myself as the newest staff member at Team Titleist. I'd be happy to help TT members coordinate a local event. This is such a great way to meet other brand fans in your area and build up this awesome community of golfers. I'm just an e-mail away :)

    All the best,
    Lisa
