I have maybe three dozen new balls at any time. I buy Titleist Velocities or the new soft balls. I play a lot of found balls plus shag bag ones. I suppose the rate of buying new would be governed by the rate at which you loose balls.
  2. I have 2 dozen AVX and two dozen Tour Soft. Miss the NXT Tour S. But getting use to the new balls. Play about 85 rounds a year. Half in north east half in south Florida.
  3. I have 28 dozen ProV1 and V1xs with about 6 -8 dozen NXT tours and 5 dozen SOLOs. Weather in northeast depends on which ball I use. Winter and early spring Solos , late spring mid fall NXTs and summer ProVs. Won'T use anything else.

Lately the Lobster Shack has been holding b/w 3 to 8 doz. ProV1s under wraps but keeping them in a consistent weekly rotation, a sleeve at a time. Love the ProV1 so much. I’ve played with other balls when I first started swinging, but once you get dialed in- it becomes crystal clear quickly that Titleist is the BEST choice to make for the most reliable and consistent piece of equipment you use in EVERY SINGLE SHOT!!
  5. I play in 2 leagues every week, several tournaments, and some weekends with a group of guys from my club. I also go to Orlando in late January each year (play twice) and Peoria, AZ in November (play 5 times).

Each year I order the buy 4 pay for 3 promotion and always get Titleist Pro V1 with the number 1 and a different inscription each year.

At the end of the season I usually have a dozen or two of these left and give them to my golfing sons so I can start out each season with fresh Pro V1's.

I keep the ball in play and rarely lose a golf ball on the golf course. I've found that yardage loss at my age (65) is something one must overcome with down the middle play. A great drive now is 250+ yards. When I played on a major college golf team in the early 70's, I wasn't happy unless they were 300+ yards. I find that the distance loss on most clubs is roughly 50 yards. I have an impeccable short game, so strokes gained around the green makes up for those extra shots in the fairway.

My handicap is 5 and at my age, I'm happy with that!

I start the round with 3 Tour Softs in my back pocket - it just doesn't feel balanced without them back there. I've always got 6 used in the bag - just in case I lose one of the new ones. If I go thru all nine, the round is over! (but that's never happened - whew!) Another couple of dozen or so new in the car.

I have made a conscious effort to thin out supply this year. Cleaning out shag bag by hitting them away at range at course about 8 per round. The 4 for 3 special is great if you know which ball you are going to play all year. Cant neat that deal.

Carry 6 in bag per round and only 1 dozen in car. Don't believe its good for balls during heat.

I have over 15 dozens of ProV1's.....I usually take advantage of the buy 3 get one free.....I go on 2 large annual golf trips a year so I get 4 personalized dozens for each trip......I'm hitting the ball better, and not losing as many balls these days probably need to slow my roll. I have ProV1's from 2013-Current.

I always have 3 dozen on the shelf. Usually start the year with the latest models, even if by some chance there are any boxes left. Depending on the course I carry 9 in my bag if I am walking and 15 if I am taking a cart. In addition I have a 2 gallon bucket with "slightly used" balls that have paid a visit to the cart path or a tree. They come in handy for some warm up shots.

Lots of different ideas going on here, mine is to stay current production and get the benefit of the latest designs. It's most likely new club and ball models are tested and produced concurrently for the best performance match to each other. I like the idea of more instead of less.
  12. Never too many! I have about 50 dozen ProV1 and some Balata and Professional 100's
